Mark Timothy Conan Esq.
Attorney Mark T. Conan, Esquire graduated from the State University of New York, located in Potsdam with an under-graduate degree in Mathematics. He then attended law school and in 1994, Mark relocated to Florida after graduating from Syracuse University College of Law. The same year Mark was hired by the Office of the Public Defender for the 18th Judicial Circuit in and for Seminole County, Florida. During his two years at that office, Mark was recognized on multiple occasions for the significant amount of jury trials in misdemeanor county court and felony circuit court.
In 1997, the Office of the Public Defender offered a more lucrative job in Osceola County, where Mark represented individuals on a "Domestic Violence" docket. The cases assigned had some form of domestic issue and often times included battery, child abuse, aggravated child abuse and child neglect. Mark gained valuable trial experience and perspective on how these cases are prosecuted and the defenses available to the accused. Mark was recognized by that Office for a Not Guilty verdict in a publicized child abuse case where the State had expert witnesses.
Throughout the next several years as an Assistant Public Defender, the Office moved Mark to various felony dockets in Osceola and Orange County, until he ultimately went into private practice in 2000. Mark was a founding partner in the Law Offices of Adams and Conan, P.A.. During his time there, he was involved primarily in criminal defense and participated in the defense of individuals from all walks of life, including employees of Signature Pharmacy and federal agents. In 2006, Mark was recognized by the State of Florida as an expert in Criminal Trial Law when he became Board Certified. A lawyer has to have been lead counsel on numerous jury trials, pass an exam demonstrating proficiency in knowledge of state and federal law and a peer review, including judges. Less than 1% of all attorneys are Board Certified in Criminal Trial Law.
In 2009, Mark left his old firm to start a practice exclusively devoted to criminal law. The Law Office of Conan and Herman was founded and started in September, 2009.
